Star stuff is stirring at New World Stages, where Peter and the Starcatcher has firmed up a cast for its return run off-Broadway this spring. Ensemble members from the show's recently finished Main Stem run will lead the production: Rick Holmes is stepping up to the role of Black Stache, and Jason Ralph will navigate the tale as Boy. Nicole Lawrence will play Molly.
Also populating the world of the future Neverland are Kevin Del Aguila as Smee, Matt D'Amico as Slank and Evan Harrington as Alf, all reprising their roles from the Broadway production. The off-Broadway cast will also feature Edward Baker-Duly as Lord Aster, Jon Patrick Walker as Mrs. Bumbrake, Josh Grisetti as Fighting Prawn, Alex Hernandez as Captain Scott, Nate Miller as Ted, Andrew Mueller as Prentiss, as well as Jordan Geiger, Joanna Howard and Graham Stevens.
A bouncy and inventive take on the celebrated Peter Pan tale, this prequel nabbed the Broadway.com Audience Choice Award for Favorite New Play after making its Rialto premiere in spring 2012. The show now returns off-Broadway, where it earlier appeared at New York Theatre Workshop.
Continued to be led by co-directors Alex Timbers and Roger Rees, Starcatcher will glow again beginning March 15.
